Sunshine

The weather has been beautiful in CO lately and not a day goes by that I don't think of how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place. 300 days of sunshine each year and I don't want to take a single one for granted. These moments with my family are precious - everything to me. I am so very lucky to experience life in this way. These photos take me back to my childhood. I see a lot of myself when I look at these photos of Miléna playing with bubbles, splashing in a water table, running around playing soccer in the yard and enjoying the simple pleasures of a tie dye balloon. The 90s print dress from OhZiggy Clothing might just be the most nostalgic part of it all. It's the piece of the puzzle that really brings me back. I have to talk about this brand for a moment because I genuinely love everything she creates. The mission behind her business is "Keep it Funky" which is a message she has often shared with her children in teaching them to allow their unique and beautiful light to shine in this world, regardless of what others think or what the majority is doing. This message highly resonates with me and my approach to raising Miléna also.
